We may wonder, what is the so-called gift of tongues of today good for? In no other way but to obscure and hinder the preaching of the Gospel. Today, wherever this doubtful gift is seen manifested, there is confusion and havoc, and the Church is not edified, for God's wonders in Christ are never known. Therefore, let them be condemned.
The biblical tongues have been abusively taken out of their context and biblical order, converting them into instruments of confusion instead of edification. The great apostle declared that in order for this gift of tongues to be more efficient and for them to work as a blessing, it is first necessary to use such according to Scriptural rules-any other form must be firmly rejected! Let us read:
(5) "I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.
(6) But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching?
(7) Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played?
(8) For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?
(9) So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air." (1 Corinthians 14:5-9)
In Babel, God used the diversity of languages to confuse (Genesis 11:1-9); on Pentecost, He used languages to bring forth order, communication, and edification (Acts 2:1-12). Therefore, the tongues can be used both ways-for blessing or for cursing-all will depend on the user. On Pentecost, the tongues were used by the Spirit for blessing. It is impossible to say the same about the tongues been manifested today, for it is quite evident the fact that they provoke an uneasy environment of turmoil and disorder.
On the last decades there has been a questionable manifestation of "a gift of tongues" within Pentecostal circles which are inconsistent with the true and original historical and theological context. This strange gift stirs up abnormal conditions, not suitable for the true worshiping and edifying of the church. Worst of all, due to their extreme emphasis to the gift of tongues, which is presented as an end or goal in itself, Pentecostals churches deprive their proselytes of the only true and reliable way to attain safety, hope, joy, peace and true healing. The one and only way to attain this is through the preaching of the Eternal Gospel or the testimony of Jesus which is "the spirit of the prophecy" (Revelation 19:10).
Pentecost, the event narrated on the Word of God (Acts chapter 2), is not the birth date of the Charismatic or Pentecostal church, but of the true evangelical apostolic church, in every sense of the word. The charismas are many and various, but none of them are intended to become an end in itself. Only the Gospel makes faith, the ministry and even the Church meaningful. It is to this glorious Eternal Gospel that you must give yourself with all your heart, in order for you to live by faith and prevail on the day of the wrath (1 John 2:28). To confirm this statement, let us make a brief exegesis of Acts 2:37-38:
(37) "Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
(38) Then Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Pay close attention to the way Peter responded to the previous question. In fact, it is his answer the most significant statement of his discourse, for it complements and stands in full accordance with the divine purpose, which makes it the most outstanding event of Pentecost, and not-as Pentecostalism claims-the gift of tongues, a gift highly enthroned by such Pentecostal sect. The Spirit's primary function is clearly defined in Peter's answer. Let us read again his answer:
(38) "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)
It is clear Peter's mandate and resolution the day the Holy Spirit came upon him: "Repent and let every one of you be baptized." This mandate clearly marks the justification of life, and it clearly defines the effects which give evidence of a true reception of the Spirit. In no way the gift of tongues should be considered crucially essential, for this was a circumstantial gift made available to, by taking advantage of the Pentecost gathering at Jerusalem, announce the fulfilment of the promise.
As soon as we do our part, that is, to repent and be baptized, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, that is, the justification of life or God's acceptance. Pentecostals believe that the gift is the Holy Spirit itself, but if we read carefully it states, "...and you shall receive the gift of the Spirit" , not, "and you shall receive the Spirit." The following verses, are analogous to those of Acts 2:38. Let us read:
(9) "having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
(10) that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him.
(11) In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
(12) that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
(13) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise." (Ephesians 1:9-13)
In these passages, it is clearly emphasized that salvation "in Christ" and "the mystery of His will" are equivalent terms. Therefore, as soon as we believe and comprehend this evangelical mystery, we are sealed through the Spirit for everlasting life. The expression, "you were sealed with the Holy Spirit" must be understood as an action of sealing or stamping, as it occurred in the narratives of the book of Acts, which was made propitious by the intervention of the promised Holy Spirit acting as a teaching agent, not as a gift. The Pentecostal sect, which is headed by Satan himself, has twisted and misconstrued God's order, and has hidden and diverted the true essence of the wonderful teaching brought by the Spirit on the day of Pentecost. Therefore, let this modern-day spirit be condemned!
The Lord Jesus spoke about the job that the Holy Spirit was about to realize on behalf of the new-born Church: "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you" (John 16:14). There is no doubts, the Lord is referring to the work of orientation of the Spirit, which begun to take place at Pentecost. There, the Spirit immediately began to preach the Gospel and used the gift of tongues in order to let the Jews from the Dispersion understand it in their own native language.
It is very clear that by the light of the Scriptures, the main purpose of the Holy Spirit is to preach the Eternal Gospel (let this be understood: through His chosen men). When we decide to study the Scriptures in a very serene and objective manner, putting aside our traditional preconceptions, we will find out, in a very clear and unequivocal manner, that it is the Eternal Gospel what God wants the whole world to know. Notice the astounding truth behind these assertions in the following biblical statements: Christ gave a commission to the Church when He gave the following instructions:
(15) "And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
(44) "Then He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.
(45) And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
(46) Then He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
(47) and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:44-47)
The Eternal Gospel is not about the achievements of the man of faith. The Eternal Gospel is about the exclusive work of the Son of God. It is Christ's living and dying on behalf of man (Be sure to read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4). There are the actions of one man: Jesus of Nazareth as the Representative of all men. The apostle Paul declares, "...that if One died for all, then all died" (2 Corinthians 5:14), and, "I have been crucified with Christ..." (Galatians 2:20)-which implies that Christ fulfilled for us that which was requested for us to do in order to receive the eternal life, that is, obedience and death according to the Law. Christ already fulfilled these demands in a representative manner, therefore, we already fulfilled them in Him.
To speak about the Gospel is to speak about Christ, about His love, about His forgiveness. It is to speak about acceptance: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8). It is about victory, for Christ constitutes "the faith that overcomes the world". By contrast, when we speak about ourselves we are speaking about defeat, perdition, inability and death. Therefore, the Spirit works to lead our attention to what was given to us by God through Christ, and in this manner, leads us to depend in Him for salvation. We must understand that the way of self-contemplation is a way that ends in conceit and death.
Christ said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). We must interpret this wonderful assertion in its true perspective in order to avoid any deviation from the Lord's established way. Pentecostals understand that Christ is the way when He is poured forth into our hearts and from there He steers our lives leading us to a continuous victory over sin in our daily behavior. Falsehood of all falsehood! What a case of hardcore Catholicism! No believer can or will ever live a life of continuous victories, but by contrast, a life of failures to such a point that Paul himself proclaims his own Christian lifestyle as "trash" (Philippians 3:8).
The Scripture has the virtue of self-interpretation. The Inspiration declares: "by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh" (Hebrews 10:20). These words clearly defined the true way. The true way is the historic Christ of Calvary and not the Christ within the heart-that is, inherent or intrinsic. This is the reason why the Holy Spirit leads you to depend in the Christ that gave his life for you in history and not the one who is claimed to "live inside of you". This is a very crucial truth that you must clearly distinguish.
The Pentecostal sweeping emphasis is placed in the "charisma" and not in the Gospel, for they do not even know what the Gospel is. Therefore, the spirit that lurks within Pentecostal circles through counterfeited miracles and wonders is not the Spirit of God but a deceiving spirit called "The False Prophet ", as foretold on Revelation 20:10. This is the one of whom is prophesied that will come to deceive the whole world (Revelation 12:9).
The Eternal Gospel, as we have already established, is representative (one acting on behalf of all of us) and historical. This means that our salvation has already been completed in Calvary. The acts of Jesus are my salvation, and by solely accepting I am entitled the right for eternal life, which God already gave me through Calvary. Contrary to this representative and objective salvation there is the subjective salvation-which pretends to establish that God realizes my salvation within my person through the work of the Holy Spirit in my life, and not as Paul declared, that is, through the Spirit of life in Christ. Let us confirm this: "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2) .
This is the way it is, when the believer pretends to establish himself as the center of attention-which comes as a product of the wide-spread distorted view we have mentioned earlier-, he allows himself to be overtaken by strange mystical experiences. As a result, this satanic anti-evangelical delusion entices him astray as to derail him from the whole hearted and sincere devotion to Christ. As a result, the believer welcomes this type of experience as of God and neglectfully surrenders into this spiritual charm without any biblical testing. This is foolish! One of the simplest and clearest teachings in Scripture is that concerning this deceiving spirit also known as the mystery of iniquity or lawlessness. Right? Why, then, do we still insist to ignore God's words on this respect? Is it not better and safer for all to follow the biblical way rather than our own preconceived thoughts and traditions? Let us read:
(25) "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." (Proverbs 16:25)
(4) "...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)
Let us read Peter advice:
(19) "And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
(20) knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation." (2 Peter 1:19-20)
By the light of this wonderful word we analyze everything concerning to the sudden manifestation of a strange spirit, which appeared for the first time in the United States of America in 1890 and now prowls within almost every religious circle. This way the prophecy about the 1,260 days-which has to do with the dragon , that was enraged at the woman (U.S.A.) and waged war on the remainder of her descendants-is fulfilled.
One of the most notable biblical prophecies in Scripture is the one concerning the mystery of lawlessness or iniquity . The apostle Paul wrote, "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work..." (2 Thessalonians 2:7). Within this context the "man of sin" is connected to the mystery of iniquity. Let us read 2 Thessalonians 2:3: "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition." It is not hard for us to understand that the apostle's statement on regards to the mystery of iniquity identifies Rome and the establishment of the Papal system, who is the man of sin, and it is he "who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" (2 Thessalonians 2:4). Therefore, we can confidently conclude that this mystery operates within the Church and not from without.
It is the Roman power what initiates the fulfilment of this crucial prophecy. However, it will not end just with the growth and fulfilment of the Catholic power. John writes on Revelation 14:8, that "...she has made all nations [meaning, religious denominations] drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication" and this will be completely accomplished in this end of the end of time. We must therefore understand that the mystery of iniquity begins with Rome and ends with Pentecostalism (both are the first and second Beast of Revelation 13, respectively). Notice that 2 Thessalonians 2:3 alludes to the Pope and verse 9 alludes to Pentecostalism:
(3) "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition."
(9) "The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders."
This interpretation can be also confirmed through John's obvious relationship between the two beasts , in which the second beast is depicted as the "image of the beast" (Be sure to read Revelation 13 on this respect).
On this chapter we are now dealing against the second beast . As Luther and the reformers censored and conjured the first Beast (Rome), we, as well, censor and conjure the second Beast (the Pentecostal nation, which spearheads the rest of the apostate Protestantism in U.S.A., where the dragon battles against the woman -Revelation 12:17).
Summing up, the mystery of iniquity are both Rome and Pentecostalism as the spearheads of all the other religious denominations, for all have been drunken with the maddening wine (meaning, the false gospel of "faith with deeds") and follow the same erred guideline for salvation. By the light of the prophecy of Revelation 14:8, we can confidently assure that all-Pentecostalism, Adventism, Russelism, and so forth-have become part of Babylon the great, as foretold by John on Revelation 17:5, where he describes it as a deep state of Laodiceism-the seventh and final stage of the universal church (Revelation 3:14). However, it is imperative to understand that Rome is its origin along with the people characterized by power and signs and lying wonders its outmost stage, as depicted by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10.
Jesus said: "Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear?..." (Mark 8:18). No one is blinder than this: He who has sight and fails to see. God, by His everlasting love for mankind, has provided us in black and white a clear description of Satan's masterful plan of deception. This work of cunning craftiness will reach its climax with the descent of Satan's deluding spirit (Revelation 13:13). This spirit is characterized by its ability to perform beguiling miracles. We will bring forth a deeper evaluation concerning the second beast , as it is depicted on Revelation 13. Let us analize:
(11) "Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon." (Revelation 13:11)
Understand this first, the Lamb in Scripture is always a symbol of our Lord Jesus, as John the Baptist confessed: "Behold the lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world." Knowing this, it is easier to understand that this beast pretends to masquerade itself as Christian, but it speaks as a dragon . Therefore, it "sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" (2 Thessalonians 2:4) in order to operate subtly its plan of deception. However, his pretension is revealed when he speaks, for he speaks as a dragon . How does the dragon speaks? Cutting short thoughts, speaking in flattering language and taking everything out of its proper context. This was his style when he pretended to tempt Jesus in the desert. Let us read this narrative: "and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you (. . .) Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God" (Matthew 4:6-7). It is therefore evident that such spirit does not interpret correctly within its proper context, but instead he cut shorts the proper thread of thought in order to bring forth confusion. No doubt at all.
As we noted earlier, the deceiving spirit prophesied by Paul and John (2 Thessalonians 2 and Revelation 13, respectively), will be overtly characterized by its capability to performing startling alluring miracles. Satan masquerades himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) and he will let himself be manifested, as John prophesied:
(13) "...so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men." (Revelation 13:13)
Fire in the Scripture is variously used as a symbol for the Holy Spirit. It is quite understandable that this passage prophecies the descent of a false spirit which will pretend to supplant the legitimate Holy Spirit the Lord had promised. This is the reason why John earnestly exhorts us to "tests the spirits, whether they are of God or not" (1 John 4:1). By following John's counsel and making a serious careful examination of the given characteristics, we must conclude that only Pentecostalism matches the description given in this prophecy (Revelation 13 and 2 Thessalonians 2). Therefore, it is the Pentecostal movement the power that follows Rome and fulfills this extraordinary prophecy concerning the mystery of iniquity. It is a fulfilled prophecy!
It is imperative to understand, once and for all, that these passages are, by no means, an allusion to the United States of America-as the so-called prophetess Ellen G. White pretended to establish. Far from such erratic point of view, it is God who presents this nation as chosen by Him to viabilize and complete His intended salvational agenda. How far can this dangerous enemy go, even to pretend to ascribe to the United States of America the evil scheme he intends to execute through Pentecostalism? In these two chapters, we have presented to you qualified elements of judgement that uncover Satan's wicked "modus operandi" in order for you to be able to protect yourself and your family. Remember this: the enemy is inside the church, not outside! He has been lurking and operating from the inside of our own national Christian heritage through these Christian-like denominations that conform essential parts of what prophecy calls the dragon. We are aware that this operation began as soon as the Quakers, who followed the woman or Puritans, arrived to the United States of America (the wilderness ). Let us all march together on behalf of the Gospel.

ISLAM IN PROPHECY
The Arab world, very specifically, the sons of Ishmael, who are followers of Muhammad and Allah are part of that which is called the King of the North. Allah appeared in history about 3,000 years after the Bible was written, and now this Allah pretends to overtake Jehovah's supremacy. On the other hand, there is the Western world - headed by the United States of America - which conforms the King of the South. Both Kings represent both sides of the conflict that will set the stage for Armaggedon. In other words, there is a final conflict between the two, according to what it has been written in prophecy. The termination of Islam is about to meet its deadline.
